Welcome to the Clark County Junior Livestock Association website! This website exists to help answer questions and promote our annual Junior Livestock, showcasing our local 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors, and their market animal projects.

The Clark County Junior Livestock show is traditionally held during the first week of April during the Clark County Fair. This year, the show will be on April 6-10, 2022. FFA and 4H members will be busy all year - starting in the Fall - preparing to exhibit their animals at the fair - beef, goats, hogs, and sheep.

The 2021 Junior Livestock Show was a HUGE SUCCESS for FFA and 4-H youth. The CCJLA is looking forward to a successful 2022 show! Click here to find out how to become a buyer and the benefits of buying or check out the buyers page.

Why 4H and FFA?

These youth are the leaders of tomorrow. The FFA and 4H programs are designed to teach their members valuable leadership skills that will benefit them in any career they may choose. In addition to regular project meetings and field days, they will invest hundreds of hours over the next year with daily feeding, cleaning and handling of the project animals, in order to prepare them for the annual fair.

At the fair, animals are judged by professional livestock evaluators, and those that meet established market quality standards will be auctioned at the next junior livestock auction. Since one of the goals of these projects is to make a profit we encourage everyone to come to the auction and make a purchase to help our young people meet their goals and reward them for all of their hard work and commitment to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
